Last weekend I was able to make it out to the pumpkin carving festivities that Sarah puts on every year at one of the Beacon Rock Buildings. They had a fire roaring inside, with soup on the metal top of the fireplace. Big bowls filling up with pumpkin pulp/seeds/guts and a sink to wash them slimy hands. Plus some hot drinks to make the tummy smile. Meanwhile we sketched on pumpkins, carved, etched, and even used a dremel tool. Silly grins, evil sneers, wolves, pumpkin pies and more decorated the pumpkins of children and adults. I also ran around with the dripping pulp for a bit being silly. So maybe some pumpkins will be growing here next year!
