Ask any young version of myself about life guarding and the answere would be “nope, I don’t swim that good”.  But five years after I was last a presence on the peninsula and I have returned to ADK a WFR and trained to be a Lifeguard too.

Swam the 500 in 11min 30, easily tackled the dives and underwater searches.  Four hard long days of training later and Adirondack camp now has 18 lifeguards trained, fresh, and ready to watch and act. Was great fun to be under the guidance of Joe, Elizabeth, and Charlie.  And what a fun group to train with, I am looking forward to the next 9 weeks with you all on the peninsula.
