Your presence should pass as a shadow over the land, and act as a sunrise to the mind

This is my personal blog about my thoughts, projects, and adventures in the world.  My musings are often accompanied by digital photography, though I also shoot film in 35mm, 120mm, and 4×5 formats.  These days I roam Portland, Oregon and surrounding environs – join me!.

I am Nicholas, a native of Boulder, Colorado. I enjoy being and exploring. I have traveled much, through Europe, the US, and also through New Zealand. Currently I find myself hesitant to commence the physical journeying – and content myself with a stillness of presence.  I have a playful troubadour wit and poeticism that occasionally arises and which I often will share here.  I very much enjoy observing and organizing, and enjoy exploring complex systems.  I enjoy photography and here I wish to share my perspective with others; your comments and feedback are always appreciated.

In documenting my travels I sometimes write wonderful narrative, some longer examples can be found at http://stawanz.blogspot.com/, someday I will completely move them over to this blog.  In the meantime be sure to see all the wonderful images also embedded in the various stories I have posted there.

Mix your lens, see, change.

I have created a project – Stawa Productions – to inspire others to share the experience of the world, and exult in its wonder.  Contributors are sought to share their impressions and creations: images, sounds, sculpture, dance, spoken word, and more is encouraged.
Take a look and let me know your thoughts!

infinite wonders
