This Year's Advent Wreath Mandala

~

This year’s Advent wreath, which this year my mom made, in our usual tradition – from sand and the dry but bright color of flowers and herbs.

Happy 4th of Advent.

This year’s advent wreath at my moms turned out different and neat.  We do something a little non-traditional (though now it is a tradition).  Instead of the traditional christmas wreath with four candles in it, we take a big blue bowl, fill it with sand, then decorate the top with colourful dried herbs and flowers, and stick candles down into the sand.  This year the form that emerged reminded me more of a mandala.
