Today eight intrepid individuals set out to Climb five mountains in one day – five of the mountains surrounding our beautiful home on Lake George. They began at 4:30 am, catching a sunrise on Cook Mountain. They proceeded to Buck, Black, Cook, and Record. Two of us set out from camp that evening to surprise them at the top of Record. We thought they may have beat us, and already come and gone. But as we sat and enjoyed the sunset, happy chattering voices came up through the trees. We hid in the rocks and jumped out to welcome them.
