03.19 – a gorge morning
dark morning greeting.
Grey and heavy the sky,
mixing turbulent and menacing.
Stark hills of darkness vanishing above.
Yet it lifts,
a soft light leaks under
and even through, in places.
The hills round out,
rolling gently – contrasting cliffs below.
And in a moment
the sun breaks through,
the clouds ablaze
light fingers caressing
waters unseen.

Heading home from work these past weeks it has been such a joy going past all the lovely gardens full of colourful tulips and other spring flowers – all glowing in the evening light. The sun was strong and the trees have just started filling in with bright green leaves. I find it amazing how quickly we have passed beyond the equinox and the time change – leaving us with long bright evenings. This particular day there was a some high cloud that produced a fun halo around the sun. can you tell what is on top of the building?
